ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop/identify potential sources of supply, support negotiations, process requisitions, place purchase orders, and oversee delivery of goods and services to meet project delivery deadline.
• Negotiate and evaluate supplier’s capability, quality, reliability, and price competitiveness.
• Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability.
• Expedite orders in accordance with purchase order requirements.
• Create and maintain mutually beneficial long-term partnerships with suppliers to foster feedback and continuous improvement.
• Manage suppliers, cost, quality, and delivery performance.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• 7+ years of demonstrated knowledge of purchasing strategies.
• Mechanical & electrical aptitude.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

• Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree.
• Previous background in engineering is a plus.
