Painter / Masker


SUMMARY: The primary role of the PAINTER / MASKER is to be responsible for the preparing and post-paint finishing of various painted sheet metal products.

REPORTS TO: Paint Supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Detailed preparation and masking of sheet metal component parts prior to painting.
  • Work directly with the painters during daily production.
  • Securely hang and remove prepared parts in the spray booth.
  • Unmask, mix paint, touchup for final packaging.
  • Examine the finished product for compliance with specifications.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Quality focused
  • Attention to detail
  • Possess a moderate understanding of general aspects of job

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • High school or GED equivalent
  • Prior painting experience preferred, but not required.
