Maintenance Technician (Building/Grounds)


SUMMARY: The MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN will support and perform building maintenance tasks equipment moves, and installations.

REPORTS TO: Facilities Manager

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform a variety of work in the maintenance, repair of buildings and grounds including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and painting and drywall tasks.
  • Replacement or repair of fixtures, outlets, and lighting.
  • Repair or replace faucets, toilets, and drains.
  • Mechanical, electrical, maintenance troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Installs and repairs various items on the manufacturing floor or offices.
  • Provide support for contractors performing work onsite.
  • Follow all government and company safety regulations and standards.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Open to cross-training with teammates.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory and reading schematics.
  • Use of hand, power, and specialty tools.

Physical Demands:

  • Climb ladders and/or stand on platforms.
  • Stand, walk, bend, twist.
  • Reach overhead.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • GED/High School or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
  • 5+ years building maintenance or experience in one or more areas (electrical, HVAC, plumbing).
