Machining Process Engineer


SUMMARY: The Machining Process Engineer develops manufacturing processes, techniques and procedures while aligning PEKO capabilities with customer requirements. Key competencies of the job are: processing for manufacturing, experience in CNC machining, GD&T interpretation and CAD experience. Process Engineer is often hands-on, interacting with shop floor personnel and with engineering and manufacturing groups to ensure lean plans are created and implemented.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare, enter, and maintain in Syteline: BOM and router for manufacturing from quotes (Sales Engineering)
  • Construct and detail 3D models for machine parts, fixtures, and assemblies
  • Work with Programming, Tooling and Machining Supervisors to resolve issues
  • Participate in customer meetings
  • Lead print reviews with internal customers
  • Optimize processes
  • Shop floor support
  • Process ECR/ECNs
  • Quality process review determining rework when required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Blueprint reading and GD&T is required
  • Knowledge of Syteline helpful
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Basic understanding/knowledge of machining as it relates to manufacturing parts and designing tooling (shop experience).
  • Minimum education: 4 year Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent preferred

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • Experienced in managing programs, creating timelines and communicating program progress.
  • Basic skills related to our core competencies.
